Events

Our lab organizes various events that include immersive simulation demos, hands-on innovation challenges, and tech-related movie nights. Participating in our events allows companies to discover cutting-edge technologies and potential partnerships, while students gain hands-on experience and networking opportunities with deeptech leaders. These collaborations drive innovation and foster growth for all involved. In addition, we are an active sponsor of the Tech Social Club that aims to spark more tech curiosity in BTH students.     Water innovation challenge

    In this innovation challenge sponsored by Swedish government agency FMV, students teamed up with fellow creative minds where they imagined and built fun cardboard solutions that addressed the tricky problem of the "Water Wide Web (WWW)".

    Bots & Banter

    In this robot social, students experienced the thrill of robot racing, as they networked and played with three DJI RoboMasters in an informal series of changing obstacle courses.

    This event featured a visiting tech guest from Toronto who shared several VR/AR/XR devices for researchers, staff, and students to see, touch and try up close.

    Disaster relief robots student challenge

    In this innovation challenge sponsored by Ericsson's Response humanitarian team, students worked in teams to imagine and build fun cardboard solutions that applied emerging robotic technologies to address different areas of disaster relief.

    Across several movie nights, we arranged licensed showings of tech-related movies, such as "Big Hero Six", on campus with popcorn and snacks.
